Charming 2 bdrm 2 bath coastal cottage nestled between Aransas National Wildlife Refuge & Goose Island State Park. Area is known for great birding, fishing, hunting, and close by Beach Excursions to the clean Rockport or Port Aransas beaches. There is a public boat ramp 2 blocks away, and another boat ramp at Goose Island State Park.
Quiet, heavily treed area and only a 2 block walk to St. Charles Bay. The cottage is known for having wildlife sightings. It is a 1.2 mile walk or ride to the Big Tree (1000+ year old Live Oak) along the way you will experience wildlife, fishing, kayaking, biking, birdwatching, and possibly an alligator sighting. Endangered whooping cranes nest a block away along with so many more birds to see, so bring your camera. The Aransas Wildlife Refuge is directly across St. Charles Bay, and the refuge visitor center is a short drive away, and well worth the trip. This is one of the largest migratory bird paths in the United States.
The fishing is incredible in this area, because there is not as much pressure on the fish as further south from here. There are multiple fishing piers and shoreline spots in the area, with Guides for fishing or duck hunting available upon request. The Cottage is Professionally Cleaned with central air/heat, sleeps up to 8. Master bedroom has queen bed. Guest bedroom has queen bed, plus queen sleeper sofa in living room, and in the den a queen futon. (Air mattresses in the closet) Living area has 50” Flat Screen Smart TV, Cable, WIFI, Den with Futon and Chair, and Dining Room that will seat 6. We also have a fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, range, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, and coffee maker. (Coffee Supplied)
Outside features include front porch with bench, and back patio with 2 chairs. We also have a small Boat Barn with a 4 chair sitting area, and BBQ grill, Poker table, Cornhole and Darts. There is a good sized, privacy fenced in backyard for your dog(s). Home is on well water.
