Summary: This house is amazing. It was immaculate and the layout is fantastic. We have two kids (5 and 7) and the house offered plenty of space for us. Sue and Matt have provided literally everything you need aside from clothing and food. The island is so fun, many beaches to explore and it has a very family friendly feel. The location is great, know that you will likely want to drive to the beaches unless you travel light, then recreation beach is an easy walk (just not when bringing chairs, coolers, sand toys, and a 5 year old who really takes her time walking anywhere). You can also easily walk to the restaurant/ice cream window/general store from the house which is great. This was our first time on the island and we weren’t sure how convenient the ferry would be but it was a lot easier than we expected. We really only had to wait once for about twenty min when coming back to the island around 9pm one Thurs night. Otherwise we almost always got right on. That said we didn’t leave very often. Only four times in two weeks to restock food, catch a movie on rainy days, and visit family near Augusta.
