Welcome to the secluded retreat you're looking for! While we do have internet / wi-fi, our place is still the retreat from the world you need! On a quiet mountain hillside and down a private dirt road, is your cozy 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin escape. Relax in the hammock, explore the woods and ancient bluestone walls or visit nearby towns. Watch the sun set while lounging at the fire pit, after making dinner in the renovated, upgraded kitchen… it’s all a little slice of heaven.
This retreat has all the modern conveniences you want to make a vacation stress-free (internet, a smart TV and upgraded kitchen and appliances), but still a cozy, clean and tastefully designed cabin in the woods. Please, unplug and reconnect with books, cards and board games for adults and kids, ten acres of woods to explore and relaxation to be had!
Outside.
While the woods or the firepit is likely where you'll spend most of your time outdoors, there is also an open deck and covered porch for hanging out. Fire up the gas grill, eat at the picnic table, and a selection of vintage and modern chairs so you can relax anywhere you wish.
Inside, 1st floor.
Walk inside to find an open floorplan of combined dining and living rooms with wood floors, and a bluestone fireplace as the centerpiece. Get ready to play cards or games, lounging in this cozy greatroom.
The kitchen has every modern and upgraded convenience— porcelain farmhouse sink, Caesarstone counters, 5-burner gas stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, and yes— a blender for marg's, if that's your thing.
The first floor also has Bedroom #1, with plush queen sized bed and dresser. Windows peek out into the peaceful woods off the back of the house.
Next door is the newly remodeled bathroom featuring a heated floor, tub/shower lined with subway tiles, barnwood trim and antique hardware.
Inside, 2nd floor.
Upstairs are Bedrooms #2 and #3. Bedroom #2 has a queen-sized bed, dresser and looking into the wooded front of the house. Bedroom #3 has an antique double-sized bed, and a view of the open yard below, and distant woods.
Privacy awaits! The cabin is quiet, secluded and down a maintained dirt road, so you won't hear other cars or trucks. Play music, fire up the pit and commence relaxation!
Fleischmanns is a small town in the heart of the Catskills, surrounded by nature, small towns and plenty to explore. From here, pick a direction on the map and you’ll find something to do! Just 10 minutes away is Margaretville’s old school main street with shopping, restaurants, grocery store and nearby golf course. Just 20 minutes north is the lovely town of Roxbury (and on the way, stop at the hidden town of Holcottsville to rent a kayak or paddleboard) and be sure to stop at the round barn’s farmer market on Saturdays! 30'ish minutes west is Andes (Wayside Cider, antique shops, cafes) or head 30 minutes northwest to Bovina (Brushland Eating House, others). Just 5 minutes east is Pine Hill, Belleayre Beach and Belleayre Ski Center, or take one of Big Indian’s incredible hikes. Or, head east about 25 minutes to Phoenicia (and their famous Phoenicia Diner) or fish or tube in Esopus creek. Also, you can always make a lovely day trip back to the Hudson valley, about an hour’s drive, and visit Kingston’s old town, Catskill, Hudson and so many other towns.
