Summary: My wife and I are avid campers but had been searching for a place to go to take our daughter to, hoping to introduce her slowly to the lifestyle. My family stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The tent was spacious and made for a nice retreat from the days of exploring, we spent our nights cooling off on the porch doing a puzzles as we watched the fireflies and listen to the sound of our fire. The campsite was very spacious, outdoor showers, outhouse style bathrooms with modern functioning, plenty of amenities close by as well if you are lacking anything. The town was small but extremely friendly. The campsite is also really close to the statepark and can help to keep idle hands busy. Our host Ingrid was amazing. She was informative, engaging, and down to Earth. As soon as we arrived she came to check in on us and help us get comfortable. She also manages the land and kept us informed on when she would be working on any of the amenties or landscape. It was a great time and for those of you who see this and worry it may come off as to glampy I want to reassure that it is a healthy balance. I hope you take the time to visit this hidden gem and enjoy it as much as my family did.
