Summary: We were there in late March to attend events in Lake Placid. It is comfortable, warm and welcoming and very well equipped. Very quiet neighborhood, and you can't beat the view and the sound of the flowing river. It snowed while we were there and the driveway was quickly plowed. If you look at the photos, you can see this, but the bedroom does not have a door that closes to make it completely private (it's more of a studio set up - one of the walls of the bedroom is a storage system that does not reach the ceiling). And, yes, be ready to climb the stairs, but the sunlit cabin and view is worth it!
