Located in Jack’s Mountain Preserve, “Sound of Silence” offers luxury in a beautiful tiny home. Hiking around Catawba Falls, Old Fort Gateway Trailhead for mtn biking and fishing at Lake Lure is a nature lover’s dream. If unique shops, amazing restaurants, breweries, and art galleries are more your style, you are minutes from Old Fort, 15 min from Black Mtn and 30 min from Asheville.
The space
Live large in our tiny cabin home by enjoying the luxury of new queen size mattresses in the primary bedroom and the loft. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove, farmhouse sink and dishwasher. Start your day out right with a hot cup of coffee or tea (coffee, filters and tea bags provided) on one of three porches, soaking in the sounds of nature. There is a TV in the living room that swings around to the kitchen that can stream your favorite channels or go old school and play board games with the family. Note that there is a limit on wi-fi so if you aren't watching TV, please turn it off. Air conditioning and heat insure that your stay is comfortable any day of the year. However, the roads are windy and there is occasional snow in the winter.
There is a 4-person limit at our home and unfortunately no pets. Please respect these rules as there are no exceptions.
S’more time is the best at the outdoor firepit out front after you have enjoyed a delicious meal, grilled out on the back deck. The home is located on 1/3 of an acre with other homes within sight. Please respect the community by limiting noise after 10:00pm.
We believe in an environment of inclusivity and diversity where everyone is meant to feel welcome. Speaking of environment, we ask the guests separate their recycling from the trash. We have only one earth so let’s take care of it.
Finally, cleanliness is important to us, and the cabin is professionally and thoroughly cleaned between each stay.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire cabin, large outside fire pit and parking (2 vehicles) . Entry is controlled by a keypad with a unique code you will receive before checkin.
Other things to note
There are 2 security cameras for your security and that of the home. They are both outside. One is located at the top of the driveway and has motion-activated lights. The second is in the screened porch to monitor the entrance.
