Castaway Too Salvo is an elevated four-level home with an elevator to all floors on a 20,000-square-foot lot and peers out above its neighbors, offering stunning views. The three villages of Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo offer great restaurants and the island’s best water sports venues. Plus, this home has new laminate flooring replacing the carpet and brand new hotel-size Biltmore Restonic mattresses as of 2022. All outdated TVs have been upgraded to larger flatscreen Roku TVs that will allow you to log in to your account and stream your favorite TV apps such as Netflix, Disney, Hulu, YouTube, and more. The internet service has been upgraded to 400 MB for faster speeds required to conduct business while on vacation.
This custom, four-level home is situated on a naturally elevated lot that affords ocean and sound views like lighthouses long ago. You'll love your proximity to the ocean access point, the clean beach, and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean just east of the house. The ground level has good parking, two carports, twin showers, a fish station, and a private grill. Recently completed projects in 2021 included a new leather sofa, a love seat and chairs in the main living room, and a new stainless steel double oven with a steam clean feature in the kitchen.
Ground Floor: The large solar-heated pool, the hot tub, and the Built to Last deck furniture — including loungers, chairs, and tables — catch the open sun for most of the day. The game room has a half-bath, a foosball table, a regulation pool table, and a wet bar with a full fridge, a sink, and a microwave and laundry room. The nearby den has a kids' retreat with two daybeds with trundles. Of course, there is elevator access to all floors. Around the corner is the 14' x 34' pool, hot tub, and poolside deck furniture and viewing area of the sports field to allow your players to cool off in the pool after a big game with recently renovated outside showers.
On level two, the first bedroom is a king primary with a full bath, a large common area south-facing deck access, and a TV. The second bedroom has deck access and a captain’s bed. The hallway bath has a tub/shower. The third bedroom features a king-size bed, deck access, and a TV. The fourth bedroom offers a king-size bed, deck access, a full bath with a tub/shower, and a TV.
On level three, the fifth bedroom is a king primary room with a full bath, a large common area south-facing deck access, and a TV. The sixth bedroom features deck access and a captain’s bed. The full hallway bath has a tub/shower. The seventh bedroom offers a king bed, deck access, and a TV. The eighth bedroom has a king bed, deck access, a TV, and a full bath with a tub/shower.
On the fourth level, there is a large common area south facing deck with deck furniture and picnic table and great room, where you'll find tall ceilings, a half-bath, oak flooring, and a full kitchen with a breakfast bar, two dishwashers, and an accessory bar with two half-fridges and an icemaker. Ocean and sound view dining are available at two tables. New upgrades to the kitchen include a full, U-shaped design and servery, custom cabinets and countertops, and commercial-grade kitchen faucet, new SS double oven and range, under-counter ice maker, and a new side by side larger capacity refrigerator with ice and water dispenser in 2022. The living room leather sofas and leather chairs are recent and there are new interior chairs in the bedrooms as well.
Relax in the living area on the large, sectional leather sofa. The top-of-the-line entertainment center features a 50-inch TV with a surround-sound stereo and a gas seasonal fireplace. Wide, furnished sundecks wrap Castaway Too Salvo and offer excellent sunning amid perfect ocean and sound views. Castaway Too Salvo is our favorite big green vacation machine. The new mini sports field with a nearby garden sports bench includes a back stop with bases that can be used for kickball, whiffle ball, soccer, crochet, and horseshoes - perfect for the whole family to get some outside game time! Be sure to bring your specialty gear from home.
Things to Know
Please note that the pool water is heated via solar power, therefore the water temperature may vary as it is dependent on weather conditions and ambient air temperature. Solar pool heating does not need to be requested in advance.
All TVs are enabled with Roku streaming.
