Summary: Overall the apartment was fine. It was clean enough, beds were comfortable. All appliances worked great and the thermostat was easy to use. Great for getting ready in the morning and having dinner/movie snacks at night. The listing said it had soap, and it didn’t and there was no toilet paper. The upstairs bedroom (with 3 beds) was very steep. Not good for older folks but was perfect for my 3 younger children. There were several surface issues (a sitting chair had a broken leg so we couldn’t use it, there were ants in the basement, a post in the railing was missing, lots of scuffs on the walls and stains on the kitchen chairs, etc), but we were able to purchase what we needed from the nearby Safeway. The hot water in the bathroom upstairs never got above Luke warm, but the basement shower was nice and hot. Uber was roughly $20 to go to the hill, but the Benning Metro station was a 10-15 minute walk and a short trip pass got us around all week. Overall, if you can overlook a few surface issues and bring soap & TP it was a good price for a larger family. & hopefully they’ll get some ant traps for the basement.
