Point B Exclusive - This charming home has undergone a transformative renovation. Aptly named “Mills End” the property is located at the quiet end of Mill Street in historic Edgartown Village.

NEW FOR SUMMER 2024: Mini Split A/C being added on second and third floors (first floor currently has mini split system).

Reminiscent of an English cottage, Mill's End features beautiful gardens and idyllic outdoor spaces crafted by well-known lifestyle designer and TV personality, P. Allen Smith. The nicely designed indoor-outdoor living has European-style cafe seating interspersed in two treed areas in the front courtyard, a large back covered porch with outdoor Dining and Living Areas, combined with three floors of living space.

The interior space features open living and dining areas on both the first and second floors. The first floor has the new Gourmet Cook's Kitchen with stainless appliances, center island Dining Area, and black and white marble floors. A French door opens out to the covered stone terrace that is perfect for outdoor dining and entertaining during the summer season.

There is also a large TV/Family Room with vaulted ceiling, beams, sectional seating, and large screen TV. One of the four Bedrooms and a full bath are also on the first floor.

The second floor features a large Living Area with vaulted ceiling, sofa and chair seating, plus a second Dining Area, a Kitchenette and Laundry Area. The Kitchenette has beverage refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. The Primary Bedroom with en suite bath is also located on the second floor. A spiral staircase leads to the third level, where there are two additional Bedrooms and a shared full bath.

All of Edgartown Village, with its restaurants, shops, and harbor, is a short walk or bike ride away.

NOTE: Air conditioning is a mix of Mini Splits, window units, and room units. First floor: mini-splits, bedroom has window A/C. Second floor: living area window unit; no A/C in bedroom. Third floor bedrooms: floor unit and portable dresser-top unit.

Summary: We loved the personal taste and decor of this home. It is certainly an above normal vacation rental. The outdoor spaces are beautiful; the patio comfortable. The grill works nicely! We did not see the “regular” coffee pot that was advertised, just the French Press and a Keurig. The TV room had plenty of space for all 6 of us. In our opinion, there are improvements that should be made in keeping with the level of excellence that is obviously strived for. The master bedroom suite was comfortable but the other rooms had challenges. The ground floor bedroom mattress needs replacing as it sinks in the middle. (Our friends are quite slim!) This rather small bedroom is not connected, nor adjacent to the bathroom noted on that floor. You must walk through the kitchen for bathroom access.The third floor bathroom is nicely updated, but be aware that this shower would be awkward for a tall person due to the sloped, low ceiling. (My husband is just 5’8”) Also note that you must carry bags up at least one narrow spiral staircase to reach the third floor. There is an outside staircase that is useful for carrying bags to the second floor. It does not go to the third floor. Point B Realty manages this home for the owner and could not have been more helpful and pleasant! We would return to the Mills House for the super location; two streets over from town center. Otherwise, we would probably look for something that had more comfortable bedrooms.
