The North entrance to Yellowstone National Park is OPEN at last. The new road is finished & open to visitors as of Nov 1st 2022. It is spectacular!

In the summer, plan a float on the Yellowstone River (20 minutes from our cabin), do some blue ribbon trout fishing nearby, take a leisurely hike on one of our nearby trails. There is so much to see & do. Montana is yours to explore!
Our cabin is set on 24 acres. This is the perfect spot for couples seeking a romantic getaway or honeymoon location. Alternatively it is ideal for families or large groups, indeed anyone seeking respite in a tranquil setting surrounded by nature. This 3 bedroom house is large, airy & sun-filled - all on one floor, no pesky stairs to climb.... We can sleep 9 in the main house and have additional space for 2 more in the Casita which is seperate to the main house. The Casita is an additional $75/night
The cabin is casual and comfortable - even for a large group. The 3 bedroom main house is spacious, has high ceilings, tall windows and is 2,150 square feet.
The Casita which is separate to the main house has a queen bed & its' own sitting area & porch.
There is always somewhere to get away or get together with the crowd when you desire, especially in the outside spaces. We are set on 24 acres so plenty of room to roam & explore...
Our home is filled with art, music, books & games. You can even watch TV! Not that we think you will have time for that... it is a large & comfortable and is surrounded by Montana's finest. You will see myriad birds of prey including hawks, peregrine falcons, bald eagles & the occasional majestic golden eagle soaring above.
Enjoy lazy days by our creek which winds its' way languidly through our garden in the summer months or fill your days with rafting or kayaking the nearbyYellowstone river. The recreational opportunities in the area are endless, including; hiking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, hot spring soaking, hunting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, white water rafting, wildlife viewing and so much more

We are perfectly located halfway between Bozeman (a spectacular 45 minute drive) & the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park (48 minute drive). We are 20 minutes from the famed Chico hot springs and just 30 minutes south of Livingston - home to cowboys, artists, movie stars & writers of the ilk of Jim Harrison, Russell Chatham, & Jeff Bridges .
***The Casita can be rented at an additional cost per day. It has a queen-sized bed & a sitting area. Between the pullout couches & the Casita, we can accommodate up to 11 people.
You will need your own transport. Coming from Bozeman, you have a choice of taking paved or unpaved roads. I ALWAYS choose the latter..... It is one of the most spectacular drives in the country! To access this route take exit #316 , the Trail Creek exit on I-90. You will follow the road for 16 miles as it wends through the mountains to our home. You will not be disappointed.... but be warned, it is a bumpy ride. 14 miles of it are on unpaved gravel roads
If you do not wish to take the Trail Creek exit, you make continue on to Livingston & then head south on route 89 for 10 miles. Take a right onto Old Yellowstone Trail N. Follow this for 6 miles to Trail Creek Road. Take a right & continue for 1.4 miles.

A little bit like stepping back in time.... when days seemed to last forever & time was plentiful. We are on 25 acres, set back & hidden from the road. It is rural here but not too far from the bustling townships of Bozeman & Livingston, each with their own unique character. Bozeman is a college town & one of the fastest growing cities in the US. Livingston is a town of characters - actual working cowboys, actors, writers, artists & the occasional outlaw!
We are blissfully tucked into a narrow valley between the foothills of the Absarokas to the East & the Gallatins to the west & next to the expansive Paradise Valley which opens up magnificently less than a mile south of our home

We are located on a gravel road which wends it's way from I-90 near Bozeman all the way to the intersection with the famous Old Yellowstone Trail.
There are several ways to reach our home, which way you choose is up to you. If you are coming from Bozeman, I suggest you take exit 316 for Trail Creek Road. This road is mostly gravel for 14 miles but absolutely stupefyingly beautiful! I kid you not. It takes my breath away every single time.... There is a green sign 140 at the end of our driveway. The house is hidden from view of the road. Take a left at the 140 sign & come on down to the end of the driveway.
Alternatively, you can reach us from Livingston which is 30 minutes north of here. Take 89 S for 10 miles, turn right onto Old Yellowstone Trail, follow that for 6 miles (gravel road) then take a right onto Old Trail Creek Road. We are # 140. There is a green sign 140 at the end of our driveway. The house is hidden from view of the road.
If you are coming from the south (Yellowstone National Park), take 89 N from Gardiner for 34 miles, turn left onto Paradise Ranch Road, follow that for 0.7 miles, turn right onto Old Yellowstone Trail N for 3.1 miles, take a left onto Trail Creek Rd. We will be 1.4 miles from that intersection on the right hand side of the road. You will see a green 140 sign. Turn right into the driveway & here you are! Welcome to our little slice of heaven!
In 2004, on our first date, my husband-to-be told me his dream was to live in Montana. A wedding and two kids later, our 2020 summer road trip made living near Yellowstone our family dream. We traveled the region (from Jackson to Cody, Bozeman to Idaho Springs) over several trips and found heaven in Paradise Valley, just South of Livingston, Montana. An amazing culinary scene, the nicest people who have become our friends, world-class antiquing, and all the adventure and activities we could wish for a walk, bike or easy car ride away in one place. We found a home where all four of us can do work and school virtual meetings at the same time - completely connected to the outside world - and then logout and we are in a cabin in a forest of juniper trees with a trout-fishing creek babbling 50 feet from the front door. When we aren't in Montana we are outside of Miami, thinking of Livingston. Our kids became country kids within the first 48 hours of their first visit to our home. Every trip brings us closer as a family - just good, simple fun - watching the birds or fishing or playing games that would be "boring" at home is nourishing on Trail Creek! In the winter, the kids make a fire in the stove and we start every day looking for animal tracks. We hope you love our home in Livingston as much as we do!
We do not permit dogs on the beds or furnishings. Please bring dog beds for your pets if you are traveling with them. We will charge $100 if we find that animals have been allowed on/in the beds
