Come sleep in history! The Nauvoo Manor affords you the opportunity to stay in a Nauvoo Mormon Pioneer home! This historic home is just seven blocks from the temple and sleeps up to nine comfortably.
One of only a few Nauvoo red brick Pioneer homes not owned by The LDS church. The Manor is located next to the historic road to Carthage.
Rufus Abbott started building this home in 1839 and finished it in 1845 just before his family left with Brigham Young to travel to Salt Lake City in February 1846.
As an authentic Nauvoo red brick pioneer home, this home will give you the experience of Nauvoo and let you live where the pioneers lived. You will experience the history you learned about at the church restoration sites down on the flats. A unique and special opportunity indeed!

Summary: We had a wonderful time in this historic home! One of the most important things to me is the cleanliness of a home and this Rufus Abbott Manor was very clean! We felt comfortable and at home. The climate in the home was perfect. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was great.The location of this home to Nauvoo is perfect. It was about a mile from the temple. It had great surroundings for going for those morning walks.It had beautiful views of the sunrise. The hostess had great communication with us leading up to the trip.
