Guest access
The home is on 2.5 acres, from highway 16 all the way to the back of the creek, and from the shared driveway to the fence of the neighboring farm. You are welcome to roam and explore the land! There is a U of A sponsored hemp research farm to the west side of our property, and their plants do not contain THC.
Other things to note
We want to ensure the home is refreshed and reset for your stay. Early check in/late check out can be requested with a fee, and is subject to availability due to our thorough turnover process.
Fire pit - We encourage you to bring fire starters and firewood in order to use the fire pit. Please keep in mind sometimes in the dry summer season, Washington county could have a burn ban in place - daily updates can be found on arkfireinfo dot org - please check before you enjoy the fire.
Drinking water - The kitchen faucet has a cold water filtration system. When you turn it on cold, the water is suitable for drinking. A countertop ice maker is provided, but it does take a while to produce a limited amount of ice. Consider bringing ice for your stay.
Cleaning – Enjoy your stay, but be mindful of cleaning up behind yourself. Please wash dishes or run the dishwasher before checkout. Our cleaning team will take trash out after your checkout, but if you would like to remove it during your stay, feel free to drop them into the two brown garbage bins with the red top by the highway. Please do not leave trash outside or in the garage to help us avoid attracting pests.
Septic System - The home runs on septic, so please leave food, oil and grease in the trash and not down in the drain. Please do not flush anything but toilet paper, not even flushable wipes.
Temperature Control – To ensure comfortable environment and to conserve energy, the heating can be adjusted up to 70 degrees F and the cooling down to 68 degrees F.
Wildlife – The retreat is in the rural area where wildlife is preserved and can be spotted often. You may spot wild birds of all sorts and depending on the season, rabbits and groundhogs - sometimes even deer. *BUGS - We actively spray for unwanted insects, but they are common in the areas surrounded by nature. Please shut exterior/screen doors behind you to keep bugs out, and we encourage you to bring insect repellent if you are sensitive to them.
Third party services - We try not to disturb our guests, but on occasion our lawn mowing services and pest control may arrive with a short notice. We will do our best to communicate with our guests so you will not be surprised.
