Welcome to the Riverside Cabins! Enjoy a peaceful mountain getaway in the Colorado Rockies at our Cottonwood Cabin! This cabin is located in a peaceful spot on our private riverfront property. Cottonwood Cabin is ideal for a couple looking to explore all the Colorado outdoors has to offer. It shares a front porch with the cabin next door, duplex style and has plenty of privacy with your own fenced in back patio for you to enjoy the mountain views and night sky!
The Space:
Walk into this cabin and you immediately feel the coziness with a gas fireplace. There is a cozy King size bed in the living area with views of the River. You will also have a comfy love seat to enjoy the fire and one dining table with two chairs to enjoy your meal after a long day of adventuring!
Walk from the main area to the kitchen where you will find a refrigerator, gas stove/oven, toaster, microwave, coffee and all the cookware and dishes you need! Enjoy small dining table set for two in the main living area. If you prefer to grill then walk out the back door to your own fenced in private patio with your own private hot tub to relax and unwind.
The bathroom has been remodeled complete with shower, fresh towels and eco friendly soaps!
This cabin as been fully remodeled and ready for you to come and enjoy! It shares a front porch with the cabin next door. If you are looking for more places for friends and family to stay please ask about additional accommodations as we do have 9 other cabins throughout the property! There is also a shared gas firepit out front by the river to enjoy! We have several outdoor firepits and hammocks along the river for you to relax enjoy!
Guest Access:
If you are coming from Lyons you will turn left right after county road 80 onto our private drive. You will head down the road and pass the parking lot. Your cabin will be the first cabin on your right. Your cabins came is Cottonwood and has a Red door. Park in the unloading area to get all of your things into the cabin and then follow the one way road around the property and back to park in the parking lot. Please feel free to check out our property but please be mindful of other guests. You are able to access this cabin with any type of vehicle although please think about the time of year you are coming and what areas you would like to go. Getting to some of the trailheads may require AWD or 4WD.
The Neighborhood:
The Cottonwood Cabin is located on the Riverside Cabins private property right along the St. Vrain River! There are 11 cabins on our property and we pride ourselves in keeping it private and natural so everyone can enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We are less then 8 min to Lyons and about 15 min to Estes Park, 20 min to RMNP and any and all hikes in between! If you are looking to attend one of Lyons many festivals we are a 5 min drive to Planet Blue Grass.

Getting Around:
You should easily be able to access our property with any vehicle however in winter it is recommened anywhere in the Colorado Mountains have AWD or 4WD. Our property is plowed and shoveled.
Parking- please use the One Way road to get to your cabin to unload your things. Always go the same direction to get back to the parking lot. The road is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other in certain spots
Other Things to Note:
Wildlife: We are in the mountains and do have wildlife walking through the property regularly such as Black Bears, Elk, Bobcats, Fox and Deer. That being said these are wild animals and we are in their space so please enjoy them but keep a safe distance. Never approach them and please do not leave any food in your vehicle or outside. Lock your car at all times and please throw food garbage in our bear proof container on the property up by the Lodge.
Outdoor Firepits: We have 5 outdoor gas firepits on the property for you to enjoy. Please, when you are finished using the firepit turn off the firepit and the propane.
Please note that we have a few cameras on the exterior of the buildings. These are only so we can monitor for unauthorized guests and fires. Thank you for understanding.
River and Fire Bans- The River is cold mountain run off and is also at times very deep and fast. Please be aware of this and stay a safe distance when enjoying! We will let you know about any fire bans that might come up in the area.
WIFI: the wifi is great, however we are in the canyon and depending on weather etc it can be a bit spotty.
