Summary: We needed a hotel room that was affordable nearby the Bare Dark Sky
This hotel was the only hotel within a close enough range, so we booked for one night.
The staff was supee friendly and helpful with directions and checking us in and out.
The room did NOT smell like or look like someone had smoked there, we had been to a few hotels that claimed they were smoke free, but we could smell freshly lit cigerettes in the room. This hotel was exceptional in having a smoke free room stay smoke free.
The beds were really comfortable, the pillows were really good, the blanket was warm enough to not have us grab our spare blankets for warmth.
The room was very clean.
Breakfast was good, almost your average hotel breakfast, waffle making machine, juices, oatmeal, eggs and sausage, milk, yogurt, etc.
Since we were on the third floor we didnt really hear any construction at all. Our sleep was good, was not disturbed at all.
Though when you first walk into the hotel, you can see the entire hallway that's currently being rennovated and smell the rennovation's wet paint and tools. I dont mind too much, as long as that rennovation smell didnt seep into the room we werw staying at. (Which it didnt.)
Parking is a bit tight at night.
But in all, it was a very nice stay and I'm definitely planning to come back with my boyfriend for another visit to Bare Dark Sky, some Asheville sightseeing, and this hotel will be the place I choose to stay the night again. :3

Summary: We were given a room on the second floor during remodeling. The smell from the new flooring being put down was horrible so we asked for a different room. We moved to the third floor and got to hear the Jack breaks from every trucker coming off the mountain all night long. We got very little sleep. Breakfast will be better right? Wrong. Opened the pan to what was usually eggs and sausage (I guess) to an empty pan. I won’t stay here again. If you have to - get an even number room on the side opposite the freeway.

Summary: Very clean and lit parking. Welcoming front desk personnel. I loved seasonal tea and hot cocoa welcoming me. Clean rooms, good bedding and quiet. My only complaint is that if breakfast ends at 10 then they should not put things away at 9:50. Wait until 10.

Summary: It’s an older hotel and they’re working on upgrades. Simple and easy, nothing over the top. Breakfast area was well tended to and very clean. Beds and pillows were super comfy! Nice floors in the rooms. Spacious.

Summary: Difficult to find in the dark - and even in the daylight since it's in a weird, off road location. Arrived to a bed that looked like the previous resident made it, not housekeeping. Hubby had to use bathroom and unpacked items before we noticed the pillow cases did not smell fresh. Went to front desk for clean ones. Then we found a hair on the sheets when we finally turned them down! It was too late and we were too tired to change rooms. Since we were staying a second night, we asked for the sheets to be changed in the morning. When we arrived back to our room that night, the bed looked much better and I slept better even though the AC unit rattled all night.
Breakfast was decent - hot eggs and sausage, waffles, coffee, juice, bread/toast, bagels, packaged pastries, cereal, peanut butter and jelly, yogurt.
We stayed here mainly because of the location but if we were to visit the area again, I'd probably look for a different hotel.

Summary: This hotel is hidden up a hill, behind construction sites. Once there, the stay was ok, but it's pretty isolated.

Summary: For the price I had to pay for the weekend, I was disappointed. Had very low water flow at the bathroom sink. Also, NO Snack machine on the 1st floor. Every time I have stayed there it had snack machines. I also don’t like the price increase for the weekends. I most likely not stay there again.
