The living area feels large due to the wide-open living room and kitchen, opening on one end to the deck and on the other to the front porch with classic rocking chairs. With live-edged Walnut countertops, custom cabinetry, open shelving, and stainless appliances, this uniquely laid out kitchen allows for intimate cooking or open entertaining. The Living room/Dining area features a large table for six and a comfortable sitting area with a sleeper sofa. A half bath and the large deck finish off the first floor. Ascend the staircase to the two bedrooms with their unique angles & high ceilings, The Master has a queen bed, dresser, and custom built-in closet. The other bright bedroom has bunk beds. The intimate bath with small soaking tub completes the second floor. There is also a large finished basement with a sleeper sofa and space for indoor games and puzzles (of which there is a substancial selection). The first and second floors are air conditioned with a system that was recently installed. Summary: The Hideaway was exactly what we needed for our anniversary. It’s peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by so much beauty. We loved exploring the beaches, the foliage, and meeting such friendly people everywhere we went.Our pug Kingsley loved every bit of it too, joining us on all our little adventures. The house felt so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Thank you, Katrina and Roderick, for sharing such a special place, we can’t wait to come back!
