Summary: This is such a perfect getaway for a girl’s weekend! The house was tucked away in a clearing behind a security gate and was incredibly peaceful. The wide, covered porch became our favorite spot—perfect for sipping morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening. The layout is spot-on also; there was plenty of room for us to relax with comfortable beds and a great kitchen that we used for breakfast and dinner. It’s August in Texas, so the fantastic A/C was not taken for granted either. A huge bonus is the location; we were within 20 minutes of the Round Top Antique Festivals, Fayetteville (SUCH good restaurants) and even took a few hours to wander around Brenham’s downtown area. The host Emily was so cheerful and sweet, and answered all of our questions really quickly and with suggestions on our day trips that were all amazing! We wanted a weekend that was relaxing but also wanted to explore the area, and she was able to point us in the right direction.We plan on coming back and using it as a home base for the fall Round Top festival- being able to escape the crowds at the end of the day would be ideal!
