Dancing Bear is a charming, 4BR log cabin on Sugar Mountain with upscale furniture and nice updates in the kitchen and bathrooms. Located on Sugar Mountain, less than a mile from the ski resort and the golf course, this cabin is convenient to everything the High Country offers. Downtown Banner Elk is only 3 miles away, Boone is 12 miles away, and Blowing Rock is 14 miles away. The village of Valle Crucis, with its riverfront community park, is less than 12 miles away, and Seven Devils, with Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zip Lines, is only 7 miles away. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is less than 9 miles away, and Appalachian Ski Mountain is less than 20 miles away. Grandfather Mountain and its famous Profile trails are only about 5 miles away.
The main level is an open concept great room, kitchen, and dining area with wood floors and vaulted ceilings. A wall of windows reveals mountain views! The great room has leather furniture, a stone fireplace with gas logs, and an HD Smart TV. The dining table seats eight guests comfortably, plus another three at the adjacent kitchen island bar top, allowing seating for a total of eleven (11) guests. The kitchen itself features granite counters and upscale stainless appliances. The master bedroom is on the main level and has a king bed, an HDTV, a ceiling fan, exposed beams, and wood floors. A large window reveals mountain views. The adjacent full bathroom has a granite vanity and a jetted tub with a shower. There is also a washer and dryer on the main level. On the rear deck, you will find a gas grill and an outdoor dining table, as well as two comfortable rocking chairs.
The upstairs features an open loft with a leather chair and a fun teepee for children, along with a few children's books and toys.
Downstairs, there are three more bedrooms, two of which feature queen beds and HDTVs, and exterior access to the lower rear deck. The other downstairs bedroom has a twin-over-full bunk bed. There is a full hallway bathroom on the lower level with a tub and shower combo and granite vanity. Finally, at the end of the hall on the lower level is a cozy den with an HDTV, comfortable leather furniture, and a foosball table. There is a door that leads to the lower deck, where you will find the hot tub.
