Cabin Cleaning Checklist
OUR CLEANING CHECKLIST
The steps we take to insure your safety during these trying times.
We currently use the following products to clean after each rental:
- Clorox Wipes
- Clorox Toilet wand w/single use cleaner heads
- Windex
- Pledge
- Microban All Purpose Cleaner
- Tide laundry detergent (Dye and perfume free)
- Lysol Laundry Sanitizer
- Lysol Disinfectant Spray
- Steam mop to disinfect floors
All staff will wear proper PPE, including masks and disposable gloves during cleaning
ALL Doorknobs – disinfected after every rental
Kitchen
- Wipe down outside of fridge, disinfect handle (interior of fridge is cleaned once a month, unless obvious spills or debris is present)
- Disinfect light switches, lamp knobs and pull chains
- Remove any cobwebs
- Dust all window frames/windowsills and blinds
- Clean stove, oven and dishwasher, disinfect handles and knobs
- Microwave: wipe down inside and disinfect handle and LED panels
- Disinfect counters
- Dust shelving top of fridge
- Wipe down backsplash
- Disinfect trash can
- Wipe table and chairs
- Clean coffee pot (run vinegar cycle once a month)
- Clean and decrumb toaster and other small kitchen appliances
- Vacuum and mop floor
- Clean and disinfect windowsills, blinds, etc
- Ensure fire extinguisher has not been tampered with and is in working order and not expired
- Inspect all appliances, counters, cabinets and furniture for stains or damage
- Empty garbage
- Remove all rags, towels, etc to be laundered
- Reset kitchen with clean towels, rags and refresh the kitchen stock items such as coffee, sugar, creamer, etc
- Disinfect sink and faucet only after entire cabin is cleaned
Family Room
- Disinfect all remotes (TV and HVAC remote)
Disinfect light switches, cabinet knobs, lamp knobs and pull chains - Dust all window frames/windowsills and blinds
- Remove any cobwebs
- Dust all furniture
- Dust lamps
- Clean TV and all electrical components
- Dust pictures and knickknacks
- Inspect all furniture for stains or damage
- Vacuum sofas, chairs, and rugs
- Vacuum and mop floor
- Clean/Disinfect windows, windowsills and blinds
- Inspect furniture for stains or damage
- Inspect TV and all electrical components to ensure they are in working order
- Blankets removed and laundered after each rental
Bathroom
- Remove all towels and other items to be laundered
- Disinfect light switches and doorknob
- Remove any cobwebs
- Clean mirror
- Disinfect counter, sink and faucet
- Disinfect toilet paper holder
- Disinfect/clean toilet, outside of bowl and seat, including the flush handle of toilet is wiped with Clorox wipes, inside the bowl and under the rim, etc. (Clorox toilet wand with single use cleaning pads. The Wand is disinfected with Clorox wipes after each use).
- Disinfect and clean shower walls, floor, and shower taps/knobs
Shower head disinfected (descaled every quarter unless indicated sooner) - Drains cleared and inspected for proper drainage
- Shower curtain is sprayed with disinfectant (will be replaced as necessary)
- Grab bars disinfected and ensure they are secure
- Clean ventilation fan of dust/debris
Inspect sink, faucet, toilet, shower, and lights/fan to ensure they are in working order - Disinfect garbage can and place in new liner
- Vacuum and mop floor
- Stock with Toilet paper and other toiletries
Bedrooms/Loft
- Remove all bedding to be laundered
- Disinfect all remotes (TV, Heating/Air remote)
- Disinfect light switches, knobs, lamp knobs and pull chains
- Remove cobwebs
Clean and Disinfect all window frames/windowsills and blinds - Dust all furniture
- Dust lamps
- Vacuum mattress
Disinfect garbage cans and replace liner
Vacuum and mop floor (beds will be moved as to also be cleaned) - Reset the room with clean bedding
- Inspect all furniture and lamps for stains or needed repairs/replacement
- Spray bed/room with Lysol disinfecting spray
NOTE: All bedding, kitchen and bathroom items are laundered with Tide and Laundry Sanitizer instead of fabric softener.
Outdoor – Patio and Driveway
- Wipe down all chairs and tables
- Inspect furniture for any damages or needed repairs on front porch
- Inspect furniture for any damages or needed repairs on the patio
- Ensure patio area is cleared of excess debris
- Inspect fire pit for any visible hazards
- Ensure fire extinguisher has not been tampered with
- Inspect Grill for damage or any needed repairs and ensure there is enough propane for next rental
- Inspect driveway for any damage or needed repairs
